I have an extensive background in counselling, including working in several women's centres as a trauma and violence counsellor, trauma therapist for a mental health centre, instructor in counselling programs and offering consultation to counsellors individually and as teams.
 
In my private practice I offer individual counselling as well as specialized groups.
 
 
 
I am a life long learner with a desire for pursuing personal growth including education and practice.
 
I am keenly aware of the necessity of utilizing a mind body connection for optimal health and well being.
 
My formal education is an undergraduate degree in psychology from Simon Fraser University (BA) and a master in education degree from the University of Victoria(M.Ed). I have a long list of additional workshops and courses that span many years, including a more recent interest in Mindfulness Stress Reduction as presented by Jon Kabat Zinn and Saki Santorelli.
 
My informal learning has been too vast to capture; I am grateful to my friends, family, clients and colleagues for being my inspiration and teachers.
My motto is "Counselling for Peace of Mind" because I think that is what we are all looking for. I practice meditation and yoga as ways to keep balanced and manage stress.
